Underground Magnetic RFID Utility Markers
Access your digital data in the field with Berntsen’s InfraMarker - Magnetic RFID Underground Utility Markers, the cost effective way to mark all important underground utility asset points. The high strength permanent magnet provides a strong, tight “laser focused”, and distinctive magnetic field that can be located quickly and easily with pin point (golf ball diameter) accuracy. The mark is then positively identified by an RFID interrogation and response that verifies the asset point found. Every Magnetic RFID Marker has a unique “ID” number and the InfraMarker software allows you to design your own data mappings with up to 64 characters of information. Data from and to InfraMarker is facilitated through familiar Excel spreadsheets or .CSV Files. The markers are a completely “passive” dual system, with no batteries to ever run down. This forms a unique fail safe combination that provides permanent asset location even if the electronics in the marker fail. That’s not likely because the InfraMarker is the first underground utility marker that is Ingress Protection rated IP68 for maximum resistance to dust (6) and continuous immersion in water (8). The super tough ABS or Polycarbonate InfraMarker case is bonded to a 304 stainless steel plate for the ultimate in underground strength and durability. The InfraMarkers are available in all APWA colors.
