Peanut Prisms
The RSMP10 and RSMP12 mini prisms enable surveyors to easily take measurements in cracks, gaps and corners. Fixed dimensions give operators the exact path from the point of measurement to the base of the housing or the tip of the spike. These mini prisms are so precise, they’re commonly used in law enforcement forensics to analyze bullet holes.
When using these mini prisms for surveying settlement, their spikes can be removed for inserting or gluing into small cracks or gaps.
These mini prisms make it possible to monitor façades, historical buildings, supports and many other objects while leaving measuring points that are barely identifiable to the general public. On concrete or masonry objects, small holes can be drilled to countersink the prisms flush with the surface.
