All LIXIE Dead Blow striking tools feature a semi-hollow head casting that is partially filled with iron shot for transfer of a more powerful and solid blow. Upon striking the surface, the urethane face absorbs a portion of the blows surface damaging energy. Immediately, the shot moves forward behind the blow, dampening the rebound and reassuring a solid force is squarely transmitted to the struck surface.
