Plastic Rebar Markers for Utilities
Our plastic rebar capping is easy to tap onto rebar, and it offers an affordable way to mark utilities information. They’re designed to be durable, providing permanent identification to underground utilities. These rebar caps are made from high-quality polyethylene that can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to 150+F.
Informative Rebar Caps for Utilities
Typically, these markers are meant to convey that utilities are located below the surface, warning against excavation in those areas. Communicating utility inforamtion helps prevent damage and injuries resulting from accidentally hitting a utility, mitigating the need for costly repairs.
Available Cap Sizes and Colors
You may decide to pick a standard color for your company, making your caps easy to identify. Or, you can choose the color that matches your utility, using the APWA uniform color code. We offer 8 different safety cap colors (yellow, orange, red, green, blue, light blue, pink, and purple) and four sizes to accommodate various pipe and rebar dimensions:
- 3/8" (10mm) or 1/2" (13mm) pipe
- 1/2" (13mm) rebar or 3/4" (19mm) pipe
- 5/8" (16mm) rebar or 1" (25mm) pipe
- 3/4" (19mm) rebar
Black Stamped Lettering
Using recessed stamped black lettering on plastic caps for rebar enhances safety, compliance, and communication in utility environments. It contributes to the overall efficiency and organization of projects while providing a durable and visible means of identification. Letter stamping is free for orders of at least 200 markers requiring the same imprint and size. Our plastic rebar caps can accommodate two parallel lines of customizable text. Please note, there is a limit to the amount of text that can fit on each cap. Text size is not customizable.
Installing Rebar Protection Caps
Designed to be permanent once installed, these safety caps are easily tapped onto rebar with a Lixie urethane hammer, ensuring a secure fit. All you have to do is manually affix the plastic rebar cap onto the exposed end of the rebar by pushing it and then tapping it on. Once the rebar and cover reach the preferred depth, your installation is complete.
