The TSL 3166 Bluetooth Rugged UHF RFID Reader delivers exceptional UHF RFID performance in a durable and rugged design. Engineered to read and write EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and Gen 2V2 tags, the 3166 reader can be equipped with high-performance 2D data scanning, offering unmatched data collection capabilities to any connected host device. 
Compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth®-enabled host devices—including enterprise handhelds, consumer smartphones, tablets, and PCs—the 3166 enhances these devices with advanced RFID and 2D scanning, supporting various operating systems.
The 3166 reader is optimized for use with existing applications built using TSL SDKs, offering enhanced performance. TSL’s latest ASCII protocol empowers developers with a robust set of commands that enable multiple operations to be executed directly on the reader. This simplifies integration and speeds up the implementation process.
The 3166 features TSL®'s ePop-Loq® connector system, designed to safely separate the reader from attached devices in the event of a strong impact. This system also allows data and power to pass from the reader to connected devices such as smartphones or handheld terminals. Powered by the latest Impinj silicon, the 3166 reader achieves read rates of up to 1,200 tags per second. Additionally, it supports multiple operations per tag during inventory scans and includes on-reader de-duplication to prevent overwhelming the host with redundant information.
